Dear Sweetie:

It seems just like yesterday we were blessed with you! God gave us such a beautiful and perfect gift and chose us to be your parents! It was a beautiful, cool, sunny day. The air was crisp as autumn was less than a week away.

Today, eight years later, is just like the day you were born, a beautiful, cool, sunny day with autumn right around the corner. You would be in the third grade now. We can only imagine all the activities in which you would be involved, though music and swimming would be high on your list as you enjoyed both so much.

Your friend Daniel, who is now ten years old and in the fifth grade, is running for his class student council. You would be so proud of him.

Your love for Teacher Lisa was unconditional, absolute and pure. You were so gracious in offering your little hand to her as she made her transition, from life on earth to life in eternity, in order for her to celebrate your birthday with you last year.

We will celebrate your birthday, as we always do, at your favorite restaurant, Nuevo Acapulco. Mark and Becky will be joining us, as they usually do.

Always and every day, we will toast you, and especially today being your birthday, we will clink our glasses and say, "Cheers," and you will toast right along with us. You always enjoyed, "Cheers!"
